Under Pressure:

Oh wow…

 I always forget how stressful the last few days before departure are.

Today has been just the most manic day I can remember in a long time and tomorrow is shaping up to be exactly the same …  then double it.

With doctors and dental appointments to fit everything around, delays in the waiting room, car issues,  back tracking and shopping for yet more food at yet another supermarket, I am totally ready to just sleep through the whole thing.

Naturally, that is not going to happen any time soon, but the pressure to have everything ‘just so’ before I leave is immense.  Last trip, in my haste to have all the ‘to do’ lists crossed off, I set fire to my favourite pot and it went where all ruined pots go.  I’m trying not to bring an early demise to any household items this time around.

So am I ready with little more than 24 hours to go? 

 Pffft… um… no.

I have packed and repacked my suitcase, and am still not there.  I have a toiletries bag that now weighs over 6 kgs which clearly shows that the heaviest item in my luggage is my vanity, because in my opinion, every single item is a necessity. 

Ahead for me is still a costume to be completed, its been pushed into the too hard basket on more than one occasion and will likely be a late night madness session to get it done and finally packed.

Tomorrow is going to be horrific… hair colour, hair removal, cooking, shopping, loading computer programs, unlocking my phone, printing booking confirmations and of course, finishing packing and that list is a small part of what I have to get done.

The mani/pedi I so desperately wanted to fit in, is not looking good…

So the next time you hear from me, I will be halfway across the world embarking on an excellent adventure.
